Miss Happ does CT International tattoo convention

While we are all still trying to recover from a long 3 days of the convention work has to go on..

The Cape Town International Tattoo convention started on Fri evening and ran till Sunday. We set up my Miss Happ stand on Friday afternoon on probably one of the hottest days of the year! All I can say is many hands make work lighter, so a big thanx to Murray, Milo, Michelle and Rob for the carrying!

My booth space was small, but as always I think we made the most of it and even managed to squeeze in my little change room. I used a vintage suitcase that I have had for a while to display my accessories which worked well and I think it looked quite cute. I also found this great black and white photographic print with palm leave and hibiscus on which worked well for my table cloth - it all started looking very "south pacific", and I loved it!

THis year I decided to go smaller, so that I could show case a little of everything I do, so we had everything from our hair clips & flowers to bandanas, Alice bands, Necklaces and earrings to our new retro coffee table coasters and the chinese parasole's in their bright colours!

I also managed to take some really cute pics of the girls who bought my goodies which is always exciting to see!

We had fun, but I must admit, being home on sunday night was a relief...on my feet. We had been standing from when the show opened in the mornings, till after 11pm each night! Schew! What a week-end!

I have also added all the pretty pin up dress and cardigans to both my online store, so click on the below link if there's something you would like to purchase:

Miss Happ summer photoshoot

What a fab way to end the day! We had so much fun with our Miss Happ photoshoot today.

I have been wanting to do a Miss Happ photoshoot for a while now - I have so many new products from clothing to accessories that I wanted to shoot, so finally got everything in order, got my A into G and managed to organise everything!

I asked a friend of mine, tattoo artist Milo "Mr Lucky" to shoot the pics - it was the first time he had done a fashion shoot as such but he was keen. Our model for the afternoon was the super sweet Miss Nadine who had won our "take Miss Happ on Holiday" competition.  All I can say is that I couldn't have asked for a better model! Nadine is so photogenic and was such a pleasure to shoot and work with.

She has the most amazing long, thick black hair, beautiful blue eyes and a fab smile. My hair accessories looked great in her 40's style hair-do and the clothing looked oh so cute on her little body.We even managed to get some cute pics of all my new shoe bow clips!

For the location we shot on Woodbridge island. There are such perfect little spots hidden amongst the houses, with little ponds and bridges, huge frangipani trees and amazing palm trees - so perfect for the hawaiian island feel that I wanted for the shoot. We even managed to shoot a little sailor girl scene complete with sail boats and palm trees in the background!

We started shooting at 5pm, and tied up at about 7:30pm, just as the sun was going down.6 outfit changes, countless accessory shots and I think we have some awesome pics. I cannot wait to see them tomorrow morning...and to share them with everybody too ;)

I think everybody had a ball - all I know is that I couldn't have asked for a better team!

As soon as I have the pics I will be sure to share!

Till next time!

Miss Happ wins seller awards online!

It looks like today is a day for WINNERS!

I just found out that I won the SELLER OF THE YEAR AWARD 2011 through my local online.

A HUGE Thank You to all my Miss Happ fans who went to my store and gave it a big "LIKE!", you guys and dolls are the reason I won!

All I can say, is that the timing couldn't have been better.

A little bit about the competition..

"2011 was a phenomenal year, to say the least. Market Fleas (soon to be Khayali) moved through a massive barrier in creating an online platform that obviously has support and will be moving through 2012 with quadruple that success.
What makes Market Fleas different from other platforms is that due to it being such a large community on such a grand stage it becomes the role of the seller to promote their products online just as much as it is that of the Market Fleas team.
With that said it is quite obvious that we have had a bunch of sellers on Market Fleas that have gone to the end and back to promote not just themselves but us as well, and we with much applause take our hats off to you. Thank you for being the community that we can proudly host and we promise to always move forward with your goals in mind."

Thanks for all the support ♥ ♥ ♥

Till next time!

Over this past holiday season Miss Happ, together with Sailor Jerry Rum ran a competiton.
The idea was to get our Miss Happ customers to have a little fun with the product...

"We want to see those cute pinup girl photos of you wearing you fav Miss Happ goodies, whether it's your super sexy wiggile dress, your vintage spot dress, your fav hair clip or a cute pair of our earrings!"

I got some great entrants and was very excited. We had girls mostly from Cape Town, but one or two from Pretoria and even Namibia! Have a peek at some of the cute pics we received, and feel free to let me know what you think!
